Our Inspiration...
Mrs. Shawn T. Moore was originally from VA. Beach, VA. A girl with a passion
for hair who started her business, Styles By Shawn, in 1993. She prided herself in nursing her clients back to healthy hair, giving them Grade A service, and leaving them with beautiful, stunning hair. Shawn's specialty was precision cuts and customized hair color that was unique to each client. Shawn's creations have been
published in several magazines such as Hype Hair, HUAMI and more. Shawn
also created a natural hair care product called “Moore Hair Butter”
which aided in her mission to provide clients with beautiful, healthy, vibrant hair.
Not only did Shawn have a passion for great hair, she had a passion to help
people. She mentored countless aspiring hair stylists and her salon chair would
often serve as therapy for her clients. Shawn was very active in the community
and a firm believer in helping others help themselves. Her positive attitude and drive to reach her goals motivated everyone around her.
Shawn wanted Styles By Shawn to be more than just a salon that
produced great hair, she wanted it to be a place that produced great people, whether client or stylist.
We continue her legacy with Shawn’s love, compassion, knowledge and style.
